For Others: A Mission-Driven Lifestyle Brand
My brother Brandon and I started For Others in 2021, rooted in something our grandfather always told us: do for others.
The numbers I’m most proud of:
Our core insight: most brands that call themselves philanthropic donate to a single national charity and call it impact. We believe real impact happens when something specific is provided at the local level. So for every item sold, we gave back something tangible directly to the zip code it was purchased in. We told customers the exact number of meals provided to their local food bank. We told customers the exact classroom supplies given to a specific teacher at their local public school. We made sure every purchase had a traceable impact in a real community.
The business grew to six figures in annual sales and landed multiple department stores. Every day we worked with retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, charities, and customers, while managing production, sales, finance, the tech, and more.

Our mission was to be Radically Philanthropic. Giving was built into the cost of every product from day one, not as an afterthought or a percentage of profit. It was a non-negotiable line item in our COGS, which is how we donated 10-100x more per item than most philanthropic brands. Plus, our giveback wasn’t just a dollar amount. It was specific, nearby, and tangible.
